Valuations with Integrity since 1966
Founded in 1966 by Mr. C.A. (Kerneels) Young, our firm has a proud history of delivering trusted valuation services to a diverse client base. Following Mr. Kerneels Young’s passing in 2000, the practice was taken over by Mr. E.L. (Nardus) Janse van Rensburg, a registered Professional Valuer with extensive industry involvement, including service on the Northern Branch Committee of the South African Institute of Valuers and its Examination Committee. Mr Kerneels Young was an excellent mentor with regards to valuation principals and life skills.
With offices across South Africa we continue to build on the strong relationships and professional excellence established over decades. Our highly skilled team remains committed to quality, integrity, and the ongoing training and development of Valuers.

Our Journey
1966
The founder of CA Young Valuations, Mr Cornelius Andreas Young always known as Kerneels Young founded the firm in 1966, when he started doing “sworn valuations” for Government, Executors of Trust Companies, Attorney Firms, Auditor Firms and private individuals.
1981
On 16 October 1981 Mr. C A Young was accepted as a member of the South African Institute of Valuers which was founded in 1909.
1982
In 1982, The South Africa Council for Valuers was established in terms of Act 23 of 1982. Mr. CA Young was registered as Valuer on 01 October 1984, and he was registered at the Council with registration No. 14.
1993-2000
Mr. E L Janse van Rensburg, known as Nardus van Rensburg, joined the firm in 1993 and became a partner during 1997. In 2000 Mr Kerneels Young passed on, and Nardus van Rensburg took over the firm.
2026
The firm is 60 years old in 2026 of which Mr. Kerneels Young has been on the steering wheel for 34 years and Mr. Nardus van Rensburg has been involved 32 years and steering the firm for 26 years.
The firm has been involved with the education of at least 17 students (Candidate Valuers) and have built up working relations with at least 50 plus other registered valuers.

Over the years, the firm has built strong, trusted relationships with major clients including Eskom, leading financial institutions, auditors, attorneys, liquidators, auctioneers, and various national, provincial, and local government departments. Our work has also extended to prominent organisations such as South African Breweries, the University of Pretoria, the South African National Roads Agency, the Gautrain, the Road Accident Fund, and several municipal councils.
The firm has extensive experience in expropriation valuations and has prepared valuations for litigation purposes, including providing expert evidence in court where required. Our valuations are thorough, objective, and able to withstand professional and legal scrutiny.
